One of the arguments frequently put to me by those irritated by my ongoing commentary on the viral trans phenomenon is that it wasn’t that long ago that homosexuality was labeled as a “disorder”, too — and that transgenderism is no different.

 

Well, it is different.  One might as well compare apples to elephants. 

 

The one is about sexual orientation; the other is about gender dysphoria — disordered thinking that has now mutated into an ideology constructed on a foundation of mystical thinking.

 

The one is predicated on sexual attraction, and harms no one.  The other shepherds children onto a pathway of puberty blockers, transgender hormones, and irreversible body-altering surgery, in the process of turning them into life-long and infertile medical patients.

 

The one is about who one chooses to love, which is none of our business; as Justin Trudeaus’s father Pierre famously said in 1967, “The state has no business in the bedrooms of our nation”. 

 

The other threatens the safety of women by condoning the invasion of men into women’s spaces, women’s sports, and women’s prisons — and that absolutely should be our business, if we actually purport to care one whit about women.

This is an honest question which I haven’t seen a satisfying answer to.

If we as a society are declaring that gender is “socially constructed” in the same way that race is also socially constructed (we’ve been teaching this about races in universities for 20 years). And if gender being a social construct means one can change their gender identity at will.

Then can one also change their racial identity at will? If not, why not? What is different about the two concepts if they are not biological realities and are merely social constructs?

That may be the next convo I suppose...  I'm not sure there are the same concerns.

 

• Shared bathrooms - most of this was sorted out a while ago
• Sports - no issues
• Being successful in society - seems there may still be issues here, but not like VV points out are the issues for Trans.
• Teaching in schools - Racial differences and acceptance has been prevalent as you have mentioned.  I'm sure some parents still don't like it but who cares about them...

Have you heard of many people identifying as a different race?  Now dual citizenship is ok...

Sorry what's the concern? Or you are just pointing out an example.

There is never a concern. Just let the government mandates wash over you. haha. 

 

It isn't hard. In nature, genesis, as in life itself, is created by the union of the two genders. The words are even connected to each other. This is an immutable truth. We are all the union of the two genders. All life is. Plant or animal. Those arguing that this is a social construct would not be alive if it were not for this fundamental law of nature. 

 

The social construct is what the government is pushing. That we must choose. That we must deny our basic observation and senses and accept this new language that divides us all because we MUST choose. We MUST pronounce our orientation in our bios, in our introductions. We must salute the party. 

 

Leave the kids alone. Just teach them to learn and let them just be, however they want to be. That is enough. This is just building hatred and division. 

 

Who cares about the toilets....

Ismo: Can you provide some clarity when you say sports are no issue. Are you suggesting that biological males should be allowed to play on girl teams?
