As I’ve always said, a university education just proves you can put up with BS.
"Piled higher and Deeper" is a musty cynicism that's probably about as old as the modern university system itself.

The problem is he is using a truth to sell AI as the replacement.
That which we call bull**** would by any other name smell just as sweet.

The problem isn't the bull**** itself but rather the manner by which we try to choke the bull**** down.
Thus, get ready for the new-and-improved approach, which will surely address all of the shortcomings of the innumerable other new-and-improved approaches that preceded it.

....they struggle with words like ‘silhouette,’ ‘extraordinary’
English is challenging enough to learn all by itself. You're just confusing the students when you throw in a bunch of fancy French and Latin words that they'll probably never use.

When I type "Chardonnay" it almost always comes out as "Chardonnary" on the first attempt.

Students need to know basic math. Reading. And reading comprehension. And then some more complex stuff like problem solving and critical thinking.
I’m not sure we are doing any of this teaching well.
