Add to that spirituality and propaganda.

There’s no better way to influence mass groups of people than through film. Hundreds of millions of people will consume the content. You have their full attention for 1.5 hours. That is so, so valuable and powerful.

I mean, we even call television content “programs,” right?

Nobody else find it odd, that Tolkien, for a Catholic, created a world where the all-seeing eye of God, is the all-seeing eye of the destructive villain, that must be physically destroyed, and its army sent to hell? That’s quite the twist on any Catholic tale I’ve ever read.

Some of you guys read a way more into movies than I do. I just go to be entertained, if they are trying to sell me a message they missed their mark.

 

It was like in high school English when the teacher would ask what the author meant by yada yada yada. My thought was he should have said what he meant, I don't want to waste my time trying to figure out what he meant.

I enjoyed two Lego movies.  The original then Lego Batman.  I even met Will Arnett!
