Virginia Giuffre, who accused Britain's Prince Andrew and other influential men of sexually exploiting her as a teenager trafficked by financier Jeffrey Epstein, has died. She was 41.
Giuffre died by suicide Friday at her farm in Western Australia, her publicist confirmed.
“Virginia was a fierce warrior in the fight against sexual abuse and sex trafficking. She was the light that lifted so many survivors,” her family said in a statement. “Despite all the adversity she faced in her life, she shone so bright. She will be missed beyond measure.”
Her publicist Dini von Mueffling described Giuffre as “deeply loving, wise and funny."
“She adored her children and many animals. She was always more concerned with me than with herself," von Mueffling wrote in a statement. "I will miss her beyond words. It was the privilege of a lifetime to represent her.”

Classic bit of rage bait above, as beheading as a capital punishment doesn't exist in Abu Dhabi.
Nothing like a completely inaccurate statement to get folks riled up against - well - everything!

or rather, to be more clear, its not a 'completely inaccurate statement'. Same result - beheading or capital punishment by any other form.

Here in Canada....
Section 159 of the Criminal Code prohibits engaging in "annual" intercourse, except by a husband and a wife or two persons who are both 18 years or older, provided that the act is consensual and takes place in private. The maximum penalty is 10 years imprisonment when convicted on indictment or six months imprisonment on summary conviction. The Canadian government has introduced legislation to eliminate this section.
and when was this repealed?

It's completely true I'm afraid.
Being gay doesn't get you executed in Abu Dhabi, or anywhere in the U.A.E.
Trusting A.I. to deliver you the facts on any given subject matter is probably not a great idea.
LGBTQ activity is certainly against the law in the U.A.E., but assertions that it leads to capital punishment are utterly false.

Like I noted in my earlier post - just classic rage-bait.

Know it all.
Citified.ca is Victoria's most comprehensive research resource for new-build homes and commercial spaces.

Odeon property has been listed for sale.
Wow!
That's a major downtown development, certainly one that long time Victoria residents will take note of.
As easy as it is to figure out that the changing times result in property/development values exceeding movie patron revenues by a large margin, it does seem somewhat counterintuitive considering all of the condo's and their new residents blanketing downtown - and peoples enduring desire to go see a movie in an actual theatre rather than on their 50" flatscreen.
Can the Capital 6's sale and redevelopment be far behind?
If the Capital 6 ever sold/closed, that would leave The Vic as the only downtown movie house - from my childhood days of 7 downtown movie houses, down to two, then one - then none?
