I find it fascinating to watch this clip from 2007 of Joe Rogan on Tom Green’s early Internet podcast/tv show. I think this is when it ‘clicked’ for Rogan - that the TV model sucks and you can do it better on your own, online.

Those late night talk shows are formulaic and boring anyway. You get 10 minutes of canned, political jokes. A celebrity promoting their movie. Fake conversation. And one song from a band. I won’t miss it.

I’ve been watching In Living Color lately. Some real gold in that show.

I watched that in real time. Jim Carry was in his prime!

The format of late show scripted advertising disguised as talk shows is dead. TV in that format in general is nearly dead.

Indeed.  Primarily a black show, the best actor was the white guy.

Same could be said for SNL in the early 80's but reversed.

Not technically "Hollywood" as he was not only Canadian but lived in the GTA - and sadly passed away there today. One of our most respected beloved actors, Graham Greene, died at age 73 in TO. Most people will naturally reference and think of his role in the iconic Dances with Wolves.

I OTOH will always remember him more for his comedic ability, which was massively underrated, in the Canadian "Red Green" TV series, where he periodically played Edgar "KB" Montrose, a self taught "explosives" expert who believed there was no problem in life that couldn't be resolved with a handy stick of dynamite. The "KB" stood for "KaBoom!"
In this episode "Edgar", who is also a social commentator and amateur movie critic to boot, offers this thoughts on some of the really big movies of the day all of which in his opinion could be improved with a good explosion......this episode aired in the mid-90's....

Pamela Anderson is teaming up with her sons, Brandon and Dylan Lee, for a TV series reboot of her 1996 movie, Barb Wire.

As reported by Deadline, Barb Wire will be the first from Ladysmith’s Anderson and her sons’ production company, And-Her-Sons Productions. The new company will work alongside Universal Content Productions and Dark Horse to produce the show.

Set during a fictional U.S. civil war in 2017, the original movie followed Barbara Kopetski, a.k.a. Barb Wire — the baddest, heavily tooled-up bounty hunter in the free city of Steel Harbor. The character originated on the pages of Dark Horse Comics’ Barb Wire.

Rob Reiner’s son now charged with murder of Reiner and wife.

Nick Reiner has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of his parents, Michele and Rob Reiner, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

He also faces a special allegation for allegedly using a knife.

The charges carry a penalty of life in prison without parole or the death penalty. Prosecutors have not decided whether to seek the death penalty in the case.

Nick Reiner’s arraignment will be set for a later date, the DA’s office said in a news release.

The slayings remain under investigation.

Nick Reiner allegedly fatally stabbed his parents in the “early morning hours of December 14” before fleeing, the news release said. He was taken into custody later that night near the University of Southern California, police previously said.

I read this twice and don’t get it.

Coles Notes version - a Presley Enterprises (I don't know if that's what the actual trust is called) ex-employee and Lisa-Marie Presley's ex-husband, both now kicked off the Presley freeloading bus, have brought forth this claim and some associated legal filings that are presumably designed to get some sort of traction towards letting these two scumbags return to their previous positions on the Presley family gravy train.

At least that's how I read it!
