Not sure if people are aware of this group on Meetup-- Victoria Social Golfers.  We have almost 200 members and play throughout the year around the city at public courses.   Members range from novice to more experienced-- but everybody is out to have fun and not take themselves too seriously.  

 

Most of the games take place on weekends or after work on weekdays in the summer-- organizers usually set something up online a few days in advance and people sign up if they are interested.

Average age? I do need to meet some golf buddies, but would prefer younger, not older.

There is a wide range of ages- but the average is probably middle aged.
