I like the signage.  Lots of room to add additional airlines.  Esquimalt Air?  11-minute flight to West Bay?File_005.jpeg File_000.jpeg File_007.jpeg File_002.jpeg File_001.jpeg

Got some boats in, oh well.

Those tables would benefit from some patio umbrellas.

I wonder if there are any for sale at SIC?

Why does someone park their 40 million dollar yacht here for 8+ months? Just curious.

Because there are only 4 nice months of boating weather in these parts. I park mine in the back yard for 8 months.

You must own like a $2M trailer. How many crew live aboard just the trailer?

Somebody (Bay area mogul) with a lot of money to burn anyways, thats for sure. Prime berth too, which can't be cheap. Warning signs by the ship and all that...

I like seeing these yachts, but man, what a waste of money.

Zenith is for sale if you have the dough.  They keep moving it around.

Somebody keeps taking it out for a test drive (this photo from March 31):

Sudden fog is causing some disruptions for harbour float plane services. Planes are departing and arriving, but schedules are delayed. The situation may also get worse before it gets better.

WTF? I just watched the float plane coming into the harbour with two police escorts, and some guy hanging on, standing on a pontoon??? Don't know if it was someone trying to get in or someone trying to get out.

What do the police use to escort a float plane?  I heard the plane, about 15 minutes ago and wondered to myself why they took a risk to fly with wind warnings.

I assume they mean police boats were escorting the plane as it was taxiing in?

The plane was being towed back to the terminal by the harbour master's boat. The plane may have had engine trouble before it attempted takeoff.

Nothing to do with being unsafe or risky. The friend probably mistook the harbour master's lights for police boat lights.

I watched it come in and assumed it was being towed for engine trouble as the propeller was not turning.

Those police boats were there because they had not yet been informed that the Royals had left a week ago.
