I believe the city contracted the job to "Very Vibrant Victoria". I am not sure if they have any affiliation with this forum.

I reported a fairly significant pothole on my block to the city today...
And today I got this "response"
Thank you for contacting Victoria Bylaw Services. Unfortunately, our officers were extremely busy today and were not able to address the subject of your request for service. It will be considered for attendance tomorrow or subsequent days based on the likelihood of the reported conditions continuing to exist.
Kind Regards,
Erin Caudle

I'd say there is a pretty strong "likelihood of the reported conditions continuing to exist", unless potholes become self-repairing.

It seems to me during that emergency there was always one-way traffic over the Malahat. The Circle Route was open, Swartz Bay was fine, and our deep water port was open and our barge terminal at Swartz Bay were all open.

"These cameras are utilized to support our operations to ensure public safety and help maintain traffic flow," said Victoria police in a release Friday.
Signs will be put up in the neighbourhood to notify pedestrians and drivers of the surveillance cameras.“

Holy smokes, the roads in Victoria-proper are in such bad shape these days. In a pick-up you get rattled around like you're four-wheeling off-road.

Fort St westbound between Oak Bay and where it becomes Yates is a disaster; it has been for years but is getting even worse lately. And another round of freeze-and-thaw coming next week won't help.
