I can't imagine there isn't some bargaining room.
Of course there is. It'd be nice just to see a range for each unit type.

They do have a range for each unit type but the prices vary considerably as do the unit sizes per type. It's hard to have any idea what a 550 sq. ft. unit would go for on the 7th floor.

Hmmm, I'm not seeing that anywhere.
EDIT: Oh, I see. Well, that hardly helps.

The only true indicator of price is what they sold for.

Last week. Hard to see, but there is a guy painting the building with a roller, below the windows at the left of the photo. And a guy was painting the wall between the building and the adjacent property closer to Blanshard.

Do all the kitchens with dark cabinets come stocked with appetizers?

Only on media day. I have to admit, Mike K. and I took it easy on the food and drink, never seen us exercise such restraint.

http://www.timescolo...touch-1.1340878When it does, Chard will invite buyers to test their own design limits, while setting a challenging task for his builders, as each suite can be customized to a buyer’s tastes.
“This is something we haven’t done on our other projects and I don’t believe it has been really done on many developments in Victoria before — we hope we are on the leading edge with this concept,” Chard said in an interview, adding: “As for customizing, I don’t think it will be impossible, but it will take more work on the part of the developer, but we feel we will be able to handle it quite nicely.”
*snip*
The selling feature is likely to be the customization.
Escher’s website includes an online “suite customizer” that allows buyers to design their suites — trying different back-splashes, countertops, paint colours, wallpaper and flooring options as well as various built-in desks and pantries that can be added to specific locations within suites.
“Seeing their selections in real time with our suite customizer really helps with their decision-making process,” said Jeff Griffiths, Chard’s vice-president of marketing.

I really would have preferred to see the top couple of floors set back a bit.

Top floors are seemingly always set back in Victoria. It's nice to see some variation.
Now, I'd like to see something really different and wild like those new funky condos in Mississauga.

This thread actually made me question what the heck arbitrary neighbourhood boundary I'm inside of as I certainly would consider this site downtown and not fairfield. I'm apparently a fellow Fairfield resident even though I'm clearly much more part of Downtown/Harris Green.
I wish our neighbourhood borders were a little more fuzzy, or made a little more sense. That or just not tie so much political/planning importance to them.
The area between Harris Green and Southgate/Beacon Hill Park is very distinct from the rest of fairfield. It should be merged with Harris Green. Call it the Cathedral District or something. But it's a fairly distinct area of dense residential. It has a lot more in common with downtown than fairfield or rockland but isn't downtown since it's residential.
Something like this.
Anyways, that's pretty off topic.
