They will have the seats pictured, plus another table, so just 9 seats.  Ha ha, as I was taking pictures the owner ran up and said "are you VibrantVictoria?"  She's very friendly.  2 weeks until opening.

I'm going to try the Monkey Brain. A bargain at $5.95.

Stopped by today for lunch. Excellent service and my sushi was good. They're still getting a few things ironed out (no soy sauce available in the eating area, no wasabi in my  etc.) but it's their first week and was quite busy.

I think they'll do quite well here. Not many places downtown where you can pickup premade rolls etc without calling ahead (you can order while there too).

You can get premade sushi at the Market on Yates or the Japanese grocery next door but I think I would prefer this place, especially if they have some interesting choices.

^My favourite take-out sushi place. Possibly the friendliest service of any retail establishment in the city. Seriously, they are wildly ecstatic to see you.

No, because it’s authentic.

Hmmm. The staff will direct their focus towards you and yell out as you walk by (and I walk by a lot) just barely within earshot of the business, though. Is that being nice or is that trying to get your attention?

Do they have a rotating sushi bar?  Weird but sushi is much better rotated.
