Does anyone have one of those old fashioned 2 headed floor polishers?

I could sure use one.

They come in handy for doing the topsides of the hull of your boat.

Don't try this while in the water though. :)

Two hose design?  Clean/non-smoking home and all that good stuff?  I might know someone who is interested.

Lanforod's A/C has been sold! :)  It was good to meet you and put a face to the name.

Couldn't get it set up last night - the window insert was an inch too long and for some inexplicable reason she didn't have a mitre saw in her apartment for me to cut it down with (I should have known that, she doesn't have a computer or cell phone either... ;) )  I'll finish it up today.

hey a small window then! Should make it even more efficient, less cracks for cold air to get out.

The middle of the three blocking plates hit the upper hose connection when I tried to slide it down to fit the window.  So I just have to trim a couple of inches from it.

And if whoever buys rjag's car finds that it doesn't fit, I do know someone who could trim that down too...

Has anyone come up with an easy way to make a portable a/c unit work with crank windows (not sliding)? Or we just have to make a window / screen template in plexiglass with two holes cut in it for intake/exhaust?!

This is the bike to have in order to look good on the new bike lanes. Beautiful bike but it's too small for me.

Stunning vintage 1972 Raleigh 3 speed in original near-mint condition. Original accessories include seat bag and frame pump. Sturmey-Archer 3 speed hub. Smaller frame size best fits riders around 5' 5" or shorter. Beautiful and rare metallic orange colour. Some minor cosmetic scratches on the paint but otherwise in excellent riding condition.

I spotted these today at Lund's Auction.

namath.jpg

Yes, it is a case of 12 Conair answering machines. They are all brand new, unopened. I opened one box so you could see. As you can see they are endorsed by NFL legend Joe Namath.

Just record your message on the cassette, plug it into your landline and you're good to go. One for the house, one for the vacation cottage and still lots left over for Christmas and birthday gifts!

They will be auctioned Tuesday at 1:30 pm.

Permit me some shameless self-promotion here:

I do picture framing at Island Blue Art Supplies and while the doors are locked they are still open for web and phone orders. Now would be an excellent time to review your quarantine surroundings and get something framed. I just did a big diploma for Mike K. and we used an off the shelf frame and custom mat and the whole works came to around a hundred bucks. Posters, drawings, photos, anything. Message me with any questions and keep me employed! framing[@]islandblue.com

I’ve had several pieces framed by Rob, and I gotta say there’s no one else I’ve encountered that will handle this job to the level of professionalism as Rob will provide you with.

It’s not an easy job, and it takes a great deal of skill to match a piece of art or important material with an appropriate frame.

Rob did the diploma for me the other day, but prior to that a custom oxidized steel-like frame for a 1917 French road map and a custom frame for a 1941 City of Victoria trolley car route roller, all six or so feet of it. Both of those jobs required meticulous handling of old and fragile material and these were vintage works that you couldn’t just hand off to anybody.
