The guy is a Toronto sports god.

Also known as a decent player who reached the playoffs once or twice?

Just ribbing Toronto sports. Relax.

I get what you're saying, but reaching the playoffs in baseball ain't easy...MLB ain't like the NHL or NBA where over half the teams get in...

I get what you're saying, but for Toronto teams making the playoffs in any sport ain't easy.

Between 1985 and 1993 the Blue Jays actually won the division as many times as the Maple Leafs made the playoffs.

Which is quite amazing when you think about it.

Blue Jays finished the season with a 2-1 win over the Yankees, and avoid a sweep. They also win the season series against the Yankees.

Ironically, after that dreadful season, they finish fourth in the division thanks to Orioles' loss against the Rays.

Didn't finish in last place, Squeezed that in on the last game.

Blue Jays officially declined the option on Bautista's contract, so he is a free agent once again.

This World Series has been great to watch.  I know many were upset when it was not a Yankees vs Dodgers, but Houston has been outstanding in the first 5 games.

I'm definitely pulling for Houston. Game 5 was insane.

It's been such a good series. The Sunday game was the peak to this point for sure. I'm favoring Houston, but at the same time I hope the Dodgers win game six to force the showdown game 7.

Yup, I'm not sure it matters to me who wins.  Looking forward to today's game!

Roy Halladay, one of the best pitchers to wear a Toronto Blue Jays uniform, was killed Tuesday when his small plane crashed in the Gulf of Mexico. He was 40.

Very sad news.

He took a one day contract with the Blue Jays at the end of his career so he could finish in a Jays uniform.

A true fan favorite.

"I keep telling my dad flying the Icon A5 low over the water is like flying a fighter jet! His response..... I am flying a fighter jet!!"

The Icon A5 is a very new plane, and is somewhat controversial. It's marketed as a recreational toy like an ATV or a jet ski, but there is concern in the pilot world around inexperienced pilots flying so low over the water. Apparently there are only something like 20 of these planes in existence.

The chief engineer and test pilot died when he crashed an A5 in California this past spring.

Blue Jays analyst Gregg Zaun has been fired from Sportsnet due to "inappropriate behaviour and comments" toward female employees.
