The last two weekend games in Cleveland were postponed due to heavy rain (which was rolling through the midwest), both are rescheduled for a doubleheader on May 3.

Today's game hosting the Royals is postponed until tomorrow, a doubleheader, due to ice falling off the dome and CN Tower.

Three days without Blue Jays action.

Only only the 2nd time a Rogers game has ever been postponed (2001, mechanical with roof issue).

Ironically enough that was also with the Royals.

Jose Bautista is now in the Atlanta Braves' minor league camp, on a one year deal. Ironically back under Alex Anthopoulos' purview. Will play at 3B. Low risk and potential big upside for the Braves.

$18M last year. $1M this year if he makes the big club.

So the Jays are now 12-5. They are en fuego, as the kids say.

This is all without their two highest paid players in Tulo and Donaldson, and Stroman has not pitched well yet. Morales is injured too, and they are mashing teams.

OK, the schedule has been a bit weak and they will cool off, but this is setting up to be a fun season. This team lacks stars, but they have depth at every level. This is probably the deepest Jays team I have ever watched.

The kids do not say that...

Only the Sox and Angels have more wins.

The front office made a lot of smart yet low-key moves in the offseason. That's paying off now in the depth and versatility the team has, and it shows in the wins. There's still plenty of season ahead, buuuuuut if they continue on the current trend they should be looking good.

Yes the season is early.  But clutch hitting has been the biggest improvement this year (hitting with runners in scoring position).

No reason not to make the wildcard this year.  Only if Boston could lose a few games.

I guess we’ve all learned to live with the fact we play in a tough division. That’s not such a bad thing.

The new Jays sure can play ball. Another big night for them last night against the Yankees.

James Paxton, BC native and Mariners pitcher, had a career night with his first no-hitter, shutout, and complete game versus the Blue Jays. Not a perfect game due to allowing three walks. Also, the first Canadian pitcher to have a no-hit appearance in Canada. Also did a "Maddux", pitching a complete shutout game within 99 pitches.

Mariners gave the Blue Jays a 5-0 drubbing.

James Paxton last two outings have been stellar. 16 strikeouts last game and then the no hitter against the Jays. He is from Ladner, BC

He also played in the WCL (the HarbourCats league) in 2007 for Kelowna.
