That the CBC even feels the editorial need to defend its integrity and lack of bias tells me it is likely doing so to deflect its detractors from the truth. Where there's smoke, there's more often than not, fire. If the day ever comes when CBC refuses $1.4 billion in government money, I may start to believe in their integrity and impartiality, but until then I remain skeptical.
