Oh wow. Originally they had planned to have both logos, no?

Know it all.

Only the CGI logo is up now. Maybe there will be a new CIBC logo since there have been at least four versions mounted over the decades.

Over two years later, I think you're right - I caught a glimpse from Mayfair today and it appears they've now replaced it again with the new updated diamond logo...

Interesting. I though I saw a large crane out that way several days ago.

Was in downtown yesterday evening and snapped this quick shot. It's nice to see the signage on all four sides lit up again.

I know many people hate brutalist architecture, but I've always thought this building has an honest and attractive appearance.

I personally like it in the sense that it's that one "iconic" office tower that stands out from everything else in the skyline, along with other buildings like Sussex place, 750 Pandora, and most recently, HP1. With a lot of the same cookie-cutter designs going up these days, it's nice to see that there's still some variety going on from a distance.

It's a good example of an architectural style that briefly flourished then rapidly fell out fashion. I think Victoria is actually rather fortunate to a have this building.
