It would appear as though she was there to promote her campaign. As VHF said, immediately after Stephen's press conference wrapped up Godron start yelling that she was running for mayor too. Bizarre.

She was complaining on CFAX today that the media considered her to be a "Fringe Nuisance". I wonder why...

Hey, the up-side is, if Stephen wins, maybe Duncan will finally leave town (I mean actually leave)

My guess is that Stephen and Ida split the anti-Fortn vote and Dean wins again. At least the business community won't be wasting any more money on Ida.

Fortin has 100% of the NDP vote, and the others split us the rest. I think it's interesting with Andrew in, but not sure if he's gonna come in better than a distant second. He's coming across as a meaner Paul Brown but with more name recognition.

Are any of the candidates members of the Green Party?

His campaign website doesn't offer much in the way of anything exciting or new: http://www.stephenandrew.ca/
I sincerely hope his campaign team do something with that website - it is totally useless from design to content. I don't have a dog in the Vic Mayor's race, and I rather liked Andrew AS A REPORTER but for a media guy he's lost a lot of ground with that mush.

I don't know if she is a member, but Helps is essentially a Green.

I don't think there is anyone who has identified themselves with the Green Party in Victoria.

And apparently never mentioned her own name...

There is no information on his website about any of his work, or any board appointments.
He was very tough on Lisa Helps in an interview in Focus magazine in Jan 2014.

Really he's gay? Really he'll split the gay vote? Rally he'll be tough on Dean?
All of the above.
Does it matter that he is gay?

Oh, in the photo with Markson at the mike, you can see Riga Godron. As soon as the conference was over, but before the crowd dispersed, she screamed out that she was also running for mayor and her launch is this afternoon. One of Andrew's team tried to silence her, to no avail.
Riga appears to be quite ill. Heard her on CFAX. It was really sad.

I mean ^ aside, what is there to object to about his platform or him as our mayor? He seems to be the best candidate to have come along ever... Anyone?
