Is it time for this list?

Black Press has a really short list.

In Victoria, the Fairmont Empress’ Q Restaurant is also open, although it warns patrons that Dec. 25 bookings are almost full. Nearby, the Steamship Grill & Bar at 470 Belleville St. opens from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sushi Jiro at 240 Cook St. will be open for lunch and dinner service.

I think nautical nellies and Strathcona are usually open.

Let’s wait and see how things roll out after today’s lockdown announcement.

Have any parking lots within reasonable walking distance of the Steamship Bar & Grill been plowed?

Perhaps the Victoria Clipper parking lot?

Reed said they are still taking reservations, but that people interested should call soon.

10 Acres Commons will also host a Christmas dinner, with two seatings at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Reservations for these seatings are required and staff said spaces are filling quickly. The Courtney Room in The Magnolia Hotel & Spa is also open at 4 p.m., and will be requiring reservations for dinner.

Nautical Nellie’s Steak and Seafood House will open at 3 p.m. on Christmas Day and staff said that while reservations are not required, they are recommended.

Can't speak for the traditional December 25th Christmas dinner as I married into a Catholic family so "Christmas" for us is always Christmas Eve on the 24th; December 25th is for sleeping in and recovering, and resting, and watching TV, rinse, repeat. Several times. :)

That said I did have a wonderful brunch with my sister and BIL and that side of (his) family at the Bear Mtn Westin hotel this morning. Lovely setting, recently remodelled space and very busy by about 11am. Perhaps 80-85% capacity. All I can really say is that I cannot imagine what Christmas dinner must be costing these days because the brunch was $100 plus grat.

Buffets of course are generally not a great value proposition because no one can actually eat $50 or $75 or $100 worth of food but "damn" the world is getting expensive. Several years ago we actually did do an extended family December 25th dinner because we had too many people, about nineteen, to seat in a house so we went to the Marriott hotel downtown; this was about 2010 and I believe the cost per head then was about $60.

I did just the one Christmas Day shift at the Marriott, never again. I do not miss chasing the Christmas business one bit.
