Silly question:
If it is proposed that the Floor Space Ratio of a property in the City of Victoria be increased from its currently zoned 2.00:1 to 3:00:1, would that simply be an increase of 50% in the Floor Space Ratio?
Thanks

That would be an increase of 150% or 1.5 times.

Interesting...
so a change from 2.00:1 to 3.00:1, results in a (3.00 / 2.00 x 100)% increase in the Floor Space Ratio.

If you had 10,000 sq. ft. of space and your FSR was 2.00:1.00 you would be able to build 20,000 sq. ft., if it was 3.00:1.00 you would be able to build 30,000 sq. ft.
If anyone wants to give a second opinion they should as I could be incorrect.

To be precise the increase is 50%: (3-2)/2*100. 3 is 150% of 2 but the increase is the difference.
Ahh yes that makes sense now.
