You know, the combination of better technology, first in the machines themselves (they can vend a larger variety of items, vends large items by taking credit cards, and be online to tell staff when a re-stock is required) and better security camera technology to protect them, likely means we'll see more vending machines around.

But I'm curious, where are some vending machines now, in places you would not expect them?  Maybe in staff workplaces, or large apartments?

The Best Buy vending machines you see here and there surprise me. I can understand them in an airport (ahh shoot I forgot my phone charger), but who's dropping $300.00 on Beats By Dr. Dre Headphones from a vending machine?

I've only ever seen a person use it once on the ferry or at the terminal.  I suppose it also acts as a BB billboard though, shows how cutting edge a company they are, even if they do not sell lots from it.

Oh they're closer than that, about 100 feet give or take on the same block.

There aren't any in Victoria, but I would love to see one filled with bike-related stuff like cheap lights and tubes.Example: http://theawesomer.c...machine/166491/

That would make sense at UVic, wouldn't it?
