Carnivore is an older surveillance program I think adapted by the FBI in the 1990's from an even earlier application called Omnivore. Even "Echelon" has different designations depending who (which agency) is referencing the system, and when. Echelon supposedly was the genesis for the idea behind the "SkyNet" A.I. system made famous by the "Terminator" franchise.

Echelon was initially a purely covert military/diplomatic surveil system starting in the 1960's; by the 21st century it had grown and evolved well beyond its initial capabilities hence the allusion to a "SkyNet"-like system....

You are  4,706 times more likely to drink yourself to death than die from terrorism.

You are 1,904 times more likely to die from a car accident than from a terrorist attack.

Fascinating you are more likely to drink yourself to death then died in a car crash.
