...Given one of my units is on the 14th floor hopefully the slab turns out okay :)

That might be even more important to the future residents of the 13th floor.  ;)

Just curious. Why is there tarp around the 13th floor? Don't recall that being done on any of the other floors.

typically done when they pour a suspended slab to keep the heat in as they will have massive heaters underneath so the water in the concrete doesn't freeze during the curing process

I believe this may recently have been employed at Legato during the Xmas time cold snap. I notice the tarps are gone from there now.

I'm guessing 4 by the height of the crane.

From the construction cam they're working on the walls/supports for the 15th storey right now. Not far off now.

Agreed. It just feels like it should be taller.

There just seems to be way too much spandrel glass in this project.  This is the entrance and look how much of the wall behind the round column is spandrel.  The same amount of spanrel is on the south side as well.

It's a curious choice to have made and one wonders what the reasoning was. Hopefully this isn't continued in the Roundhouse projects, but if it is perhaps the spandrel glass could be a more interesting colour.

The Encore gets to be more ugly every day. How much spandrel can they put on one tower? It looks green and no floor to ceiling windows except patio doors just baffles me. All we can do is hope the next building by Roundhouse they decide to do something different.

Travel to the suburbs of Vancouver or Toronto and you will have your answer! There are recent developments in Richmond with less vision glass than what is on Encore. I'm not a fan of this direction of architecture.
