Someone said it's like a Chipotle, dunno.

Vaguely like Chipotle, not nearly as big and tasty a menu though. Nonetheless I went ten days ago and it was good. I'd go again.

1400 burritos given away.

Excellent. I have to remember it's there, I keep forgetting about it.

Don't you have a free pass, Mike?

Tried this for the first time last week. Don't have much to say about it other than it is no Chipotle, which is what I was hoping it was attempting to be.

The food was okay but for the same price you could enjoy a better meal at one of the other many local Mexican food places in town over this franchise of a national chain.

I have gone twice recently. The Big Ass burrito is quite the meal. I prefer it to the el gordo.

Wow I was about to post much the same thing as E_Squirrels post above from nine years ago, heh. Was visting pals in Duncan last night and since we were too lazy to cook from scratch or even fire up the bbq one of them suggested grabbing take out from this place. I'd never heard of it and obviously never been to the Victoria locations.

Squirrel's decade-old comment still stands: that Big Ass burrito is huge - 14" if the advertising is correct. Ingredients are all fresh and they make it to spec right in front of you. The thing probably weight 1.5 pounds. It was damn good too - oh they must've read thundergun's old post above Squrirrel's since they now have chipotle :)

Super!

We seem to be seeing a rise in burrito places lately. Bar Burrito, Chipotle (which I still haven’t visited; it’s a walk-past location on Douglas, I find and the signage is behind trees?) Quesada, and the local chain the name of which escapes me.

Mucho Burrito, I go there probably once a month. Their mucho size is humongous as well, I typically get the small.

Oh yeah! There’s them too. The local chain is La Taqueria. I think they have burritos?

Too many Mexcian "la-somethings": I was thinking of La Taquisa on Wilson St in Vic West. They definitely have burritos. My go-to there is the el gordo.....

I don't think there's been a La Taqueria in town in years?

Edit: ok I exaggerated, closed a year and a half ago

I don’t mind all the good Mexican options popping up. Although I’ll avoid bar burrito… not good at all imo.

Any word on Boomtown? I mean to go, but it’s just a little out of the way for me when I’m in Victoria.
