That's a great shot, VSF!

I edited the URL to the photo as it contained an error. All's good now.

Yeah a mini Empire State Building treatment would be awesome.

That's a wonderful photo, especially viewed at it's largest.

Thanks Everyone! I belive that the Sussex building is lit up at night. It would be cool if they changed the colour though.
Did anybody noticed the new lights on The Bay Centre. I think they look great!

One question, How do you post a picture instead of a link to a picture?

Use the IMG tag: [img]http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3512/3273189499_dc752afa9f_b.jpg[/img]

Sussex Place used to have a lit spire at Christmas time, but I have not seen this done for a few years now. This is different than the regular roof lighting is always has.

Have we seen these already? Not exactly "skyline," but the Vic News has a page with some fab city shots taken from the air. See Victoria from above.

Yeah, those are some nice shots Behaving Well. This one's my fave:

Very little or none of North Park, Harris Green, James Bay and Vic West are even in the picture which gives you some idea of how many mid-rises this city has.

I'm pretty sure this is the picture I scanned from the T-C a few years ago, taken by Darren Stone from the gravel pit in Metchosin using a 400mm zoom lens, although i'm probably not the only person that scanned or saved that pic.

I think that's actually a later picture taken by someone else on Flickr. Was Corazon visible in Mr. Stone's picture? In any event, I'm pretty sure the sea was calmer (there might also have been a boat or two in there).

Edit: I remember now how crappy the scan from the paper looked. The sky in particular looked terrible. It's the same angle but it's definitely a different picture.

not really skyline but if Ms Havin can post non-technically-skyline pics so can I, esp if it isn't worth starting a brand-new thread

sorry about the weather; it looked like it would be nice when I went out but it looks like I missed the sunny parts today.

Classic!
Nowadays most people die of a sort of creeping common sense, and discover when it is too late that the only things one never regrets are one's mistakes.
