I had never heard of this place and it took some relatives visiting from the States to suggest going here, on the advice from someone at a bridge tournament they were playing at. The property is the Lieutenant Governor's private residence but the grounds are open most days to the public. They provide a tour of the public rooms inside the mansion once a month. This place is truly a gem. We've been to Butchart Gardens and I'd say this is equally as nice, albeit a bit smaller - and it's free! Anyway here are some pics. Of course the gardens will look even better once more of the flowers, especially the roses, bloom.
