There are no forests in Europe, last I checked.
Say what Mikey? See Finland. Swedish territory is classified as 70% forest. See also Germany, Belgium, Poland among others. Also it may surprise you as it did me to learn "forest" as a % of total land area in Europe significantly exceeds that in North and Central America. That stat includes European Russia.
Even in England which denuded much of its forest cover historically building all those oak ships for the Royal Navy over a 250 year span, is still about 13% forest with large areas of forested land in Northumberland especially, as well as in Surrey.

I’ll give Europe its forests. This time.

Ulez vandals have hit at least a quarter of all new cameras in the expansion zone, data suggests.
At least 450 of the 1,762 cameras in the newly expanded zone are damaged or missing, according to a crowd-sourced map.
It comes amid a growing backlash to Sadiq Khan’s controversial traffic scheme, which was expanded on Tuesday to cover the entirety of Greater London.
Any person driving a vehicle which does not meet certain emission standards will be charged £12.50 a day, or fined up to £180 if they fail to pay.

And it's not the West Shore that is growing its vehicles at the highest rate per-capita. It's your old 'hood, North Saanich and the Peninsula. Their vehicle:resident growth ratio is 1:1. West Shore's is less than 0.5:1. In other words, the highest growth rate of vehicle ownership per-person is actually on the Peninsula, not on the West Shore.

Peninsula can't afford to not have cars either. There aren't many areas that can easily manage without a car in greater Victoria. You pretty much need to live close to a major, regular bus route or downtown/close enough to walk/cycle everywhere, if you're physically able.

They are supporting EV purchases. Cost as little as one tenth the price of gas for electric energy.

But first you have to buy the very, very expensive E-V, then wire the charger, and unless you're pre-wired, spend thousands more getting your home wired to even allow fast(er) charging.

What's the expression? You gotta spend money to lose money?

They said that about gas. It makes zero real-world difference on the re-sale market, and now gas is being outlawed from new construction, meaning gas rates are going to go berserk in future.
They also said that about sewer (turns out septic is just fine).
They said that about municipal water (wells are just fine).
They're now saying it about wiring a charger.

Greater Victoria had 11,355 more vehicles on the road in 2022 than in 2018: ICBChttps://victoria.cit...n-in-2018-icbc/
How many people were added to this same area since 2018? Just saying that cars have been registered doesn't say much. Also they include mopeds and recreational vehicles that aren't used as daily commuters.
