Traffic is an absolute nightmare all around the area, my mind boggles why anyone would drive right to Dallas road and not expect absolute gridlock. We strolled around for 40 min after the event and cars were still at a stand-still, many starting to honk with rage.
What was actually unfortunate is that the traffic jam made the shuttle useless, people smart enough to leave their car at home or park near one of the shuttle locations were punished by the hoards of people expecting Cook St. Village and Dallas road to be just as easy to drive to and park as their typical trips to their nearest strip mall.

Ya, from the looks of the way traffic was controlled (only east of Cook), the shuttle from Ogden was going to be useless. Seen many messages now from so many stuck at Ogden just waiting all through the show.
The one thing I never heard from organizers was "come early". The geography of the event location was never gonna be best.
I joined a great party at The Beagle, the place was full by 4:30pm, and then just strolled down at 5:15pm.
I must admit I'm slightly concerned with so many that can not walk 30 minutes though. I thought that should be your goal well into your 60's or 70's.

I was up at Moss Rocks with a few hundred other people, and those that were making their way down the hill just as the last act ended, got to their cars and were probably home and hosed before most of the gridlock got untangled.

It's all knowledge of local geography.
I'm impressed by how far away they went to re-group for each new formation. The slight haze maybe made it hard to see them, but I swear they went 5-7 miles away before they came back for the next perfect run.
Level flight in formation seems like it might be fairly easy, but the arching rolls holding in pretty perfect formation were very impressive.

Watching from Beacon Hill was perfect

I think the biggest traffic jam was the lineup at Beacon Drive in. That place made a killing today.
I walked from Clover Point to Songhees and beat people that drove

I was amazed that there was a huge backlog of traffic coming around from Ogden Point - Fishermans Wharf - Belleville. Why would you go that way when it all funnels through the Oswego and Belleville intersection anyway?
As for the shuttle, the only way to make that work would have been to shut down a street completely and only allow shuttles and local traffic. Or build a gondola.

It's amazing, isn't it?
I've seen a number of these things, and the performances never cease to amaze me. They fly so close together for so long at precisely the same speed and elevation, while turning, climbing, descending, right side up and upside down.

Probably a tribute to the mechanics too, that keep the engines of each perfectly tuned wrt one another.

Well definitely. They have kept those things running top since the 60's.
It's too bad there wasn't a F-18 flyover.

Ya, they are in Comox Saturday too.

Me thinks they could've armed the snowbirds with single shot guns and had a contest on how many deer each could pot... Bonus if you get the cougar (feline, not human).
