I always buy BC wine when I buy it.

after the age of about 16 wine started to make me want to vomit immediately, long story I think I already told it. I like beer still.

“ Hundreds came out to the B.C. legislature grounds Friday (Sept. 15) afternoon in protest of the fossil fuel industry and its role in the climate crisis on the heels of an exceptionally hot and dry summer across the province.”

Anyone see the crowd? The media lied about the crowds protesting the mandates a lot so I’m curious if they are here asc well.

I wonder how many of those "hundreds" walked to the event in their hemp shoes or had nothing made with plastic in their possession?

This time of year you can usually get a big rhubarb leaf, wrap that around feet using a manila twine

Rhubarb is a settler plant. No self-respecting eco-terrorist would ever been seen wearing something made from such evil vegetation.

I don’t know why you’d have a rhubarb pie when you can have a strawberry pie. Bitter people

I suppose huckleberry might be an option.

Couple layers of ostrich ferns might be an option, the fiddleheads are edible and also nice on a salad

Nowadays all poor weather is labelled a "storm".

First wind-and-rain storm of fall forecast to hit Vancouver Island on Sunday

Storm is forecast for Sunday night and Monday morning.

Residents of west and north Vancouver Island can expect winds of up to 90 kilometres an hour, and the inner south coast could see winds of 40 km/h and gusts up to 60 km/h.

The west coast is expected to get the most rainfall, with up to 50 mm forecast; 30 mm is forecast near the northern Strait of Georgia and less than 10 mm for Greater Victoria and the Gulf Islands. Winds coming off the Pacific Ocean and the rain will likely dispel the haze that has appeared in the region in recent days that has been caused by Washington state wildfire smoke.

Wikipedia:

A strict meteorological definition of a terrestrial storm is a wind measuring 10 or higher on the Beaufort scale, meaning a wind speed of 24.5 m/s (89 km/h, 55 mph) or more; however, popular usage is not so restrictive.

A new poll shows that a shocking number of French citizens support banning people from flying more than four times in their lives due to climate change.

A poll from research firm Consumer Science and Analytics Institute (CSA) found that 41% of citizens would support such a limit. That number rose to 59% support among 18-24-year-olds. The suggested limit, proposed by engineer Jean-Marc Jancovici, would apply to air travel for business and pleasure.

The poll surveyed 1,010 French residents over the age of 18. It found that support for air travel restrictions was far higher among younger age groups. While a majority opposed the four-flight lifetime maximum, 64% of the respondents said they would be willing to limit their air travel in the near or medium term to combat climate change.

You'll have to excuse me if I am skeptical about taking the word of someone who talks with a puppet master in the sky and believes drinking the blood of a zombie will give me eternal life.
