Hope nobody minds its own thread.  I'm not sure we have ever had a BC Day fireworks show before.

Game tickets start at $12 for general admission, which are still great seats.  But if you just want to catch the show, probably the best bet is along the fence on Cook St.  Looks like you can set up your lawn chair here easily too.

Or I can get comfy on my sofa and turn my head the correct way to watch out my window and see most of the spectacle.  :)

Sure, what time should we come over?  Wine, or beer?

Red or white?  Cork, screw-top, or box?

Depends how many show up; for good friends, cork; acquaintances get a screw-top; and for those who bully their way in, they can suck the dregs from a box.

I object mostly because we already have a thread for the HarbourCats where these displays are already being discussed.

As well this is not a "BC Day fireworks show". A private company is doing a series of fireworks displays as part of their events and one of them happens to be on BC Day. Hardly worth it's own thread but once again the commercial interest trumps public interest or integrity.

You must be a BC-denier.

First good look at the big crowd right now at the @harbourcats game. TOP of the 3rd only now, 'Cats up 2-1.

296 ringing the park exterior.  Actually a few less than I would have guessed.  I guessed 500.

Great fireworks after the game.  Kudos to Steve Wallace for sponsoring and to the two techies that lit them on the field.  Our entire group enjoyed the 16 minute display!

I think yesterday was their biggest single day of ticket sales ever.
