At 2.35/litre the feds are making 11 cents a litre just in GST, taxing taxes within the pre-GST price.

All in what’s our tax burden now? 42.05 cents just in provincial and GST taxes, but without the federal excise taxes.

I couldn't check the "Like This" box for the above, since I don't like what the above graphic is telling me, but thanks for sharing it VW.

Victoria has the second highest total tax. Thank you NDP and federal Liberals for making life more affordable!

Not sure that carbon tax number is right for Victoria and Vancouver..  We don't pay the fed carbon tax in BC.

According to https://www2.gov.bc....rates-fuels.pdf , the carbon tax is 11.05c/l (page 5). So that's very wrong. hmm.

Some times those tax payer guys trump it up a bit...  Math is hard.  Not saying this is completely accurate either but...  Alberta suspended their provincial excise tax...

It'll be $150 to fill my tank now and that'll get me 400km ish.

So, $300 ish a month? Not really much left to cut back on.

Prices heading to $2.10 and $2.16 today.

It sounds like there will be a mass inversion of supply and demand this winter, with global energy resources stressed by Russia's tap out and western nations deciding to extract fewer resources.

Maybe the US will come to its senses, and follow the UK's lead.

Meanwhile Canadians will just blindly accept what their benevolent governments are doing in regards to fuel policies even as it bankrupt them.

The same people today, lamenting gas prices, who not that long ago, were championing the Trudeau government's energy policies, new taxes and pipeline agenda.

What's the price in Hawaii right now, Np?

I believe I saw prices between just under $7 (USD) to just under $9, per gallon of course. We have not had to get gas since arriving on Monday, so I haven't paid that much attention. Bear in mind that fuel prices in Hawaii are always substantially higher than on the mainland.

Just about 2 francs here in Switzerland, so about $2.80+CDN Diesel 2.25.

Similar in Italy and Lichtenstein, whatever that was.

Never thought we’d get here, but here we are, paying European prices (they have higher octanes there so our 91 is equivalent to their base octane).

91 here is like $2.40 after today’s increase.
