What’s interesting is the spread between YVR and Nanaimo is now 3 cents. It was 1.6 before, so YVR’s rack is 58.

Rack is at 61 cents today, and prices snap 12 cents at the pump with some stations now priced at 117.9.

What was the rack before? In other words, how much did it jump to justify a 12-cent jump at the pump?

Look at this ad from 1955. By my rough calculations it takes only ten minutes for the average person today to earn enough to buy a gallon of gas although you might want to check my arithmetic:
takes my solar panels a bit more than 1 sunny summer day to make one GGE (gallon gas equivalent), but in winter almost 3 days

I assume you’re switching to electric or only buy Chevron 94 ethanol free then?

I buy 94 ethanol free and add fuel stabilizer to it for all of my small motors. Everyone should, too. That’s the most fundamental best practice you can incorporate into keeping your machines in tip top shape. In fact, that alone will solve/prevent 99% of your small motor problems.
But if your car doesn’t require 91/94, don’t use it. In some cases it can even be problematic in motors requiring 87.

I think that guy that was just arrested on the Canada wide warrant was involved in exposing his wankel. vigorously.
Come on, we all know wankels go 'round and 'round, not up and down.

Wankel? lol, now I’m in intrigued.

I just use 91 for both. Truck calls for 93. Close enough. Chevron too far away.

For your car that’s fine, as it’s used up quickly. But you’re slowly damaging your small motors even with 91 and especially if you use stored fuel. I know it sounds hokey, and I know it seems like a fuss, but this alone will keep your machines in tip top shape (plus additive; always use it).

Willing to bet - without them looking it up online - that there are maybe a couple dozen people on this forum "tops" that know what a Wankel engine actually is, lol.....
