Definitely now very clear, an example of what not to do...

Are you suggesting it was acceptable at the time the photo was taken?

I am being hopeful that the PM hadn’t yet been educated enough to understand his actions.

And by hopeful you mean naive.

And by hopeful you mean naive.

Was talking to an amputee a few years back, was surprised to find out that he finds severed hands and things like that offensive.

Everyone is offended by something. Maybe we should just cancel Halloween.

If you dressed up as cancel culture for Halloween, what would that look like?

Probably like a big full body foam cancel button suit. Large lettering with the word “CANCEL” on the top.

^^ more simple would be dressing all in one colour(other than red) with a red top hat that says on the top “CANCEL CULTURE”. People can hit you on the head all night.

Or dress all in white and get a red cancel stamp, cancel yourself or have others cancel you.

🔺West Shore senior accidentally hands out meds instead of candies - no, this is not a joke🔺

Please check your kids’ candy bags tonight. The West Shore RCMP say pharmaceutical drugs were accidentally handed out by a senior, instead of candy. More:

On October 31 at approximately 7:45 p.m. the West Shore RCMP received a call from an elderly citizen of Colwood who advised they believed they in inadvertently handed out their medication to children who were trick-or-treating.

The elderly citizen was handing out candy form a single-family home near the intersection of Bette Drive and Charlotte Drive in Colwood. The elderly citizen, who is their late 80’s, called police when they realized they were missing several packs of medication that had been sitting near the candy bowl earlier this evening.

Below is a photo of the medication. Police believe at least 4 of these yellow containers containing Apo-levocarb, (medication used to treat Parkinson’s Disease), have been handed out to children trick-or-treaters in the area.

Police urge parents and guardians who were in the area to please check their children’s candy bags thoroughly. If you spot one of these containers please keep it away from your child. You can turn the found containers into the police or dispose of it at your local pharmacy.

If you think you child have ingested this medication seek medical attention right away.

UPDATE- Medication mistakenly handed out during Halloween has been located

West Shore

2023-11-01 12:21 PDT

File # 2023-22334

The West Shore RCMP would like to update a media release that was published last night, (October 31), regarding medication that was mistakenly handed out instead of candy. Police initially received a report that an elderly citizen (in their late 80’), residing near the intersection of Bette Drive and Charlotte Drive in Colwood mistakenly handed out their medication that was sitting near the candy bowl during Halloween night.

As of November 1, at approximately 12:00 p.m., West Shore RCMP has confirmed that the medication had been found within another area of the home and was not mistakenly handed out as it was previously reported to police.

We thank the public for their understanding. This was a concerning situation where we notified the public due to the initial belief the medication had been handed out mistakenly during Halloween, said Cpl. Nancy Saggar, Wets Shore RCMP Media Relations Officer.
