This is coming along nicely. Windows in and most of the siding is done.

Nearly done.  Pretty solid building, if not a little busy.

Nice project for that area. Kang & Gill’s first project in the city centre, if I’m not mistaken.

It's a tad monochromatic, but still a decent looking building.

Any updates on this one?   I live around the corner and it seems to have been completed for a number of months yet but no apparent residents.  Heard a rumor the whole development was sold on completion but not sure that explains why it's sitting vacant.

that’s odd. someone should contact K & G and ask what’s up. maybe someone that runs a website dedicated to this kind of information.

The building has been sold by K&G to a large fund, and that's where the buck stops at this point.

Rumor on the street (unverified) is that the PM or Superintendent did not get one of the required building inspections done and the city will not give them an occupancy permit.  Vic Map shows a building permit has been applied for to allow an Alternate Solutions which may be related to this issue or something total different, but the permit has not been issued yet. Vic Map also shows a blasting permit is still active for the site so the city may just be slow in updating the data base.

Is K&G known for questionable construction or is this an anomaly?

No, not at all. K&G have nothing to do with this building any more. They built it, then sold it.

Do you know if that was the plan all along? Or did they sell it because they couldn’t get the required permits?

Required permits for what? I’m not sure I understand.

I think he's implying the building couldn't pass inspection and occupancy was withheld. What other possible reason would the owners keep it off the market?

Sorry, was referring to the above stated rumours that K&G could not get an occupancy permit. Thought maybe that’s why they sold the building? Or maybe that rumour wasn’t in fact true...
