This will most likely never happen now that Joe Fresh is going into Uptown. I would say not on hold any longer.

How many years has that lot sat vacant now?

This seems ridiculous.

Someone on reddit just mentioned that this development seems to have equipment on the ground now.

Let's expropriate the land for the sewage plant.

Not a bad idea actually and if sludge was going to Hartland the 17 is right there.

Why would we go and destroy a perfectly fine neighbourhood?

Would a clean, modern facility there destroy the neighbourhood?

It's not the best use of the location, but we're 3.5 years until the deadline to have the thing up and running and we're still scratching our heads trying to pick a spot to put it.

That's a perfect site for a plant, I think.

Loblaw's plans significant Canadian expansion: http://www.ctvnews.c...e-100-1.2270285. Is there any chance this project could finally get underway? Is the local market already too saturated?

Wouldn't that be nice. Holding on to an empty property doesn't make them any money, that's for sure.

As I wandered though the GC Wholesale Club yesterday I noticed they have a few Presidents Choice items.

As much as I enjoy driving my car, it would be extremely nice to have a Superstore/Loblaws in town.

I believe GCWC is owned by Loblaw's but it's their no frills brand. Despite the shabby decor GC is a great store especially if you're looking for President's Choice or popular branded/packaged products.

Maybe this site could become the rumoured T&T. A Superstore would make no since with a Joe Fresh at Uptown.
