I'm brand new to this forum, just signed up this morning. I've been pouring over these posts for the last few hours and am just blown away by the amount of knowlege and experience from posters.
I'm fairly new to development, I have a couple of deals under my belt and some capital waiting for the next one. Im wondering if anyone has an tips for how a guy like me can get started in some larger projects in town. Limiting factors for me are not having a large bankroll, and very little track record with the bank - they may not be willing to take a chance on a newbie.
I've got an awesome business partner, and we seem to have a knack for land aquisition, so a lack of opportunity doesnt seem to be a problem at all. I keep hearing that its a tough industry to break into becasue Victoria is "an old boys club". Well, how does a new guy join this club??
I'd love to hear how some of the members here got into the industry.
Cheers.
