Point #1 above is why I'm willing to bet money that MikeK will be singing the praises of the Cybertruck as the best vehicle ever built in about 10 years time.
Yeah but how many ashtrays does it have?
Matt.

Toss a pebble at it and the window cracks. Junkyard bait.

Two NASA astronauts returned to Earth on Sunday in a dramatic, retro-style splashdown, their capsule parachuting into the Gulf of Mexico to close out an unprecedented test flight by Elon Musk's SpaceX company.
It was the first splashdown by U.S. astronauts in 45 years, with the first commercially built and operated spacecraft to carry people to and from orbit. The return clears the way for another SpaceX crew launch as early as next month and possible tourist flights next year.

The last time NASA astronauts returned from space to water was on July 24, 1975, in the Pacific, the scene of most splashdowns, to end a joint U.S.-Soviet mission known as Apollo-Soyuz. The Mercury and Gemini crews in the early to mid-1960s parachuted into the Atlantic, while most of the later Apollo capsules hit the Pacific. The lone Russian "splashdown" was in 1976 on a partially frozen lake amid a blizzard following an aborted mission; the harrowing recovery took hours.

In what could be dubbed as a pleasant surprise, the Tesla Model 3 was deemed as the most reliable executive car today in Britain, electric or otherwise. Only 5% of the Tesla Model 3 owners who participated in the survey reported having issues with their vehicle, and even then, the problems were only connected to the car’s interior trim. Despite these faults, the Model 3 owners noted that the cars could still be driven without any problems. Even better, the issues, once reported, were fixed in a day or less and at zero cost.

I heard a rumour that Tesla is going to move in to the old Volvo dealership on the corner of Douglas and Hillside. Can anyone confirm?

Their VP said two weeks ago they were looking for a location in Victoria. Makes sense....seeing a lot of Model Ys hitting the street and will start to explode as prices slowly come down. They just dropped the price of the Model S substantially yesterday.

That's a parking lot more suited for a traditional dealership. Tesla normally uses more "retial" type storefronts.... like the vacant GAP building on government.
I think this is changing somewhat though.

Marko is correct, they aren't looking for a retail type storefront, but something for one of their Service Centers zoned for automotive use and 15,000sqft in size.

Plenty more that cannot be published at this time, but there are several properties being looked at, including temporary setups and a permanent flagship location.

With the plans for GAIN to build a vehicle storage garage behind their Audi facility and then building a new bigger Porsche centre there as well then it could also be the existing Porsche / VW location that could be available within 18-24 months

Looks like they were close to going with the old Volvo location but that has fallen through:

^Welcome to VV!
“Tesla has cancelled their announced purchase of the former Volvo dealership at the corner of Douglas and Hillside as their Vancouver Island sales and service location. A search for a new location is underway. No reason was provided for the change.”
They never announced a purchase, and are considering multiple options with several properties shortlisted. Sophisticated real-estate acquisitions are not haphazardly announced like that, then rescinded.
If I had to guess, they engaged with Pattison on the Volvo property, they took the discussion further than mere exploratory conversations, and then someone in the auto industry who knew of the interest took that to mean they were buying the property and the rumour started to spread.
