In the EV world, is there also such as thing as Range Envy?  :)

Of gas powered vehicles, for sure!

A 27% drop from peak over a year in Tesla you mean?  Hardly comparable to a

60% drop for NIO in under a month.

Almost certainly.  Well at least it's a BMW so no electricity will be wasted illuminating turn signals, right?

Burn.

I daily drive a 15 year old BMW, but always use indicators.

See many that don't however.

Getting close to your prediction of $4 there.

China’s cutting of EV incentives hurt them.

Dood.

We’re both going home empty handed from the club.

Hopefully Leo can still pick up the tab :)

I’m still up 35% on my two Tesla positions combined. How you doing on your NIO bet? One of us will be leaving this club with the chips ;-p

Sooke to add ten public electric vehicle chargers in bid to lower GHG's, aid in Highway 14 travel
https://victoria.cit...hway-14-travel/

They should put in a level 3 fast charger. Port Renfrew just got one. Level 2 chargers not so useful for people driving through. Federal NRCan funding is paying for a lot of new charger deployments

They’re applying for something called Green Infrastructure: Climate Change Mitigation Sub-Stream CleanBC Communities Fund, not sure if that’s related to the federal program in some way.

fast charger at port renfrew but no cell service? I wonder why cell service is so challenging.

Not sure that is related to a challenge as opposed to lack of a business case for one?

for sure. if only cell companies had a “roam isolated” zone where they could charge extra it could make some return.

Which probably means the charger will be free unless they have a hardwired connection. Will have to do a trip to botanical this summer and check it out.

Charging network is getting pretty decent in southern BC. Drove to interior and there is a fast charger every 70-100 km.
Hope slide viewpoint charging stations put in by ministry of transport.
Also a network of charging stations coming at Petro-Canada stations and Canadian tire

One of my favourite things about driving an electric car is driving mountain roads and never having to hit the brakes. Regenerative braking handles everything

I have a heavy right foot and I love the regenerative braking.......you start scrubbing substantial speed right away when you lift off.
