put in the Flo G5 back in 2017 when we picked up the eGolf
has worked just fine...installed at side of house- handles the weather alright...has not given us any problem
my son installed the same model 1 1/2 years ago...charges his Fiat e500 and now his electric Kia Soul ev
+1, the Flo is a great charger.
You also have these on Costco online -> https://www.costco.c....100366896.html

Apple Inc. is moving forward with self-driving car technology and is targeting 2024 to produce a passenger vehicle that could include its own breakthrough battery technology, people familiar with the matter told Reuters.
The iPhone maker's automotive efforts, known as Project Titan, have proceeded unevenly since 2014 when it first started to design its own vehicle from scratch. At one point, Apple drew back the effort to focus on software and reassessed its goals. Doug Field, an Apple veteran who had worked at Tesla Inc., returned to oversee the project in 2018 and laid off 190 people from the team in 2019.
Since then, Apple has progressed enough that it now aims to build a vehicle for consumers, two people familiar with the effort said, asking not to be named because Apple's plans are not public. Apple's goal of building a personal vehicle for the mass market contrasts with rivals such as Alphabet Inc.'s Waymo, which has built robo-taxis to carry passengers for a driverless ride-hailing service.

no thanks
1) expensive new model every year will force you to upgrade or look uncool/out of touch
2) only apple ceritfied mechnics can repair/maintain because of proprietary software
3) stupid apple fanboys/girls
4) new model will come with a joystick and you will need to buy a new "navigation control" since they will no longer support old school "steering wheels"
5) they only come in smooth, glossy apple white
6) siri
7) ...and so on!

I agree about the proprietary software. No more tinkering in the driveway with a Haynes Manual.

Never mind the multi-display cabins in cars like the Porsche Taycan — Mercedes wants one giant display that practically dominates your view. The automaker has unveiled a 56-inch MBUX Hyperscreen that will span nearly the entire cabin width of its EQS luxury EV. It’s not just meant to impress — it presents the instrument cluster, infotainment and passenger display in a seamless design that removes unused elements (such as the passenger view on a solo trip).
The panel uses OLED covered in anti-reflective Gorilla Glass, and auto-adjusts brightness thanks to a camera and light sensor — it shouldn’t distract you at night like some in-car displays. It should be responsive, too, with an (unspecified) eight-core CPU and 24GB of RAM.

Good points but it is not any different with Tesla. Only Tesla services Tesla vehicles. Only Tesla certified shops can even buy parts for body repairs. Repairs are $$$$ and SLOW.
Nearly 10 years since they launched the model S and Tesla still doesn't have anything approaching self-driving technology.
If Apple and Hyundai pull off a car then Tesla will be in real trouble in my opinion.

Tesla just dropped the Model rwd Y for 56k this is going to be a massive volume seller.
Where I come from, when you 'drop' a model, you're no longer making it.
Anyway, I think this is the way to go...

The sale of electric cars in Norway overtook those powered by petrol, diesel and hybrid engines last year, with German auto-maker Volkswagen replacing Tesla as the top battery-vehicle producer, new data showed on Tuesday.
So-called battery electric vehicles (BEV) made up 54.3% of all new cars sold in the Nordic country in 2020, a global record, up from 42.4% in 2019 and from a mere 1% of the overall market a decade ago, the Norwegian Road Federation (OFV) said.
Seeking to become the first nation to end the sale of petrol and diesel cars by 2025, oil-producing Norway exempts fully electric vehicles from taxes imposed on those relying on fossil fuels.

Tesla Model S Gets New Interior, 520-Mile Plaid Model Claims Quickest Production Car Title
Huge range is coming, as is an all-new dashboard and one heck of a steering wheel.

New Model S is a disappointment imo. Exterior pretty much unchanged and interior a lot better but nothing crazy. Doubt that wheel makes it to production, but we will see. I don't see any reason to trade my model s anytime soon given I have a few years left on the battery warranty. And if I did would definitively get the Model Y for half the price of this new S.

Outgoing for comparison:
Personally I prefer this one to the new one, regardless of the steering wheel. That said, both are better than the iPad screwed to a 2x4 in the Model 3.
