Construction will take place in two phases over five weeks, from Jan. 19 to Feb. 20. Pedestrian access to the recreation centre and Tillicum Centre will be maintained throughout the project.
The first phase, running until Jan. 22, involves excavation and installation of underground ducts on Bodega and Arena roads. Bodega will be closed between Ker Avenue and Arena Road. Sidewalks and bike lanes on Bodega and Arena roads will be closed. Single-lane alternating traffic will be in place on Arena Road.

Musk expects Europe, China to approve Tesla's Full Self-Driving system soon
https://www.reuters....nth-2026-01-22/
Tesla Inc. shed by far most new-car buyers in California last year, showing how the electric vehicle maker is losing ground in one of the world’s largest EV markets.
The company accounted for 9.9% of all vehicles registered in the state last year, down from 11.6% in 2024, according to Experian data published by the California New Car Dealers Association. The drop was more than three times that of Stellantis NV’s Dodge brand, leaving Tesla as the No. 3 auto brand in the state in 2025, after trailing only Toyota Motor Corp.’s namesake unit the prior year.

Still, Tesla’s most popular models remained among the state’s top-selling vehicles. The Model Y SUV remained the best-selling EV in the state and was the No. 1 light truck of any type. Tesla’s Model 3 sedan was the state’s second-best selling passenger car, trailing the Toyota Camry.

Over 8000 lawsuits in the US now ongoing or pending regarding accidents caused by Tesla's FSD.
A jury in Florida just awarded a victims family $245M.
Good thing they don't have ICBC there, a family of a victim in Vancouver who was killed by an uninsured motorist was awarded the princely sum of $40K.

Has to be, it was on the CBS news.

This is under appeal, of course.

Has to be, it was on the CBS news.
Based on recent reports, including coverage by CBS affiliates and other news outlets as of January 2026, the figure of 8,000+ relates primarily to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) investigation into potential traffic violations involving Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology, rather than 8,000 individual lawsuits.

If all insurance providers give the 50% break Lemonade is, US Tesla drivers will save about $3.25B per year.

- https://www.theglobe...ada-was-a-bust/What’s clear is that from early on, there were signs of quality issues with BYD’s buses in Canada.
“A big problem the TTC had when they were running the BYD buses was getting parts,” said Steve Munro, a Toronto transit watcher and blogger. “BYD didn’t have the whole supply chain that you’d expect anybody in the automotive industry would have to service people who own their product.”
So far, that’s two failures for Chinese buses in Canada, the other being BC’s woes with Vicinity buses that leak.
Know it all.

You can’t just import these products. They require an entire network of service and parts. Same with electric bikes.
People bring in those tiny right-hand-drive Japanese trucks. They seem to find a way to service them.

Regular mechanics can service those. Probably jam in, make or salvage parts for them. Probably yourself even. An electric car? Good luck fixing the failed battery controller or AI chip yourself. Try finding someone to trouble shoot the controller PCB. Or the failed touch screen etc etc....

I think you need a beginner course on product design.
There are already JDM service networks and shops that service them.
