...It might be a bit more your style Nparker. Lots of urban buildings though they are all 140 years old! ...
I'll be checking this out for sure later today. Thanks for thinking of me G.

A new post up on the proposal for 825 Fort Street. Read it here: https://www.sidewalk...it-harris-green

...So when the Salient Group brings forward a proposal for an 11 storey building for Fort Street it seems wrong that the community association charged with the initial review of the project is the Fairfield Community Association. No one living downtown or even outside of downtown would have a sense that Fairfield includes the south side of Fort Street starting at Blanshard and that is because they shouldn't. I have said before that it is time for the city to review the neighbourhood borders with a view to ensuring that the borders follow the form and feel associated with a neighbourhood...

Cool, I love San Juan Island. I haven't been there for 20 years, looks like a lot has changed. Only 8 km away but I am amazed at how many Victorians are barely aware it exists.
Roche Harbour summer sunsets are the best.

It has to be one of the most underrated local getaways. To think you can hop on the 70 and take a short ferry ride and be there, yet no one does it.
The fall schedule shows one sailing per day from Anacortes to Sidney and back with a stopover at Friday Harbour.

Yes that is it. One noon sailing there, return sailing is at 9:30am I think. So you would have to stay the night. Still lots of options right in Friday Harbor.
As far as I know nobody from the San Juans has ever done any marketing here.
