Fol epi dockside is bread, fol epi Yates is pastry. They ship product back and forth, and I’d imagine there’s a little crossover. Remember that dockside also does lots of wholesale. It’s a large operation.

I gave the post a LIKE even though I haven't read it yet, but I know I will like it once I see it.

Are they thinking of renaming Quadra Street,?

It seems he killed some natives, and later tried to talk to the Russians.

They made signs of friendship which Bodega y Quadra rejected. The Quinaults in one of the canoes approached in an attempt to board the Sonora, but once the canoe was in range of the schooner's two swivel guns and three muskets it was fired upon, killing "the greater number of them", according to Bodega's journal.

Shaken by this disaster, and with most of his crew suffering from scurvy, Hezeta decided to return to New Spain, but Bodega y Quadra refused to follow him without having completed the essential mission, which was to locate the Russians.

Years ago San Remo was one of our favourite restaurants, then after we had a terrible meal we have not returned.

We do like the Fifth Street Bar and Grill and go there often. Great pizza, great wings, roasted chicken, and burgers too.

Blue Bridge at the Roxy has some good entertainment.

Not if you’re a white male who identifies as a heterosexual.

Fifth Street is a great local pub. I honestly have not been to the Roxy in years but keep meaning to.

Yup, San Remo was a great place 20 years ago, always packed on the weekends. When it reopened a few years back I went for lunch and it was so bad we have never returned.

There's an african supermarket on the Old Island Highway near Parson's Bridge that is either moving to Quadra Village or opening a new location there. I've always wanted to stop in there but never had a chance. Maybe with a location closer to town I'll be able to. It will be across the street from San Remo in the old pizza & donair place.

I cooked at San Reno for about a week about 15 years ago, holy crow, what a strange operation at the time.

Part and Parcel on Quadra is exceptional!

Boston Dance is just up the road too, they have good programs.

It was around the era that we quit going back. Yeah....February 2003...holy crow was what it tasted like.

At the end of the shift, we’d take the kitchen rags, run them through the dishwasher a few times then hang them all over the kitchen to dry overnight. Handles, knobs, fixtures, railings, doors, everywhere. Owner would walk around smoking, too. The more I think about it the more I remember!

Took a job at Milestones about a week later, never looked back.

Hi everyone,

I have been writing my own blog for a few months now (though took a bit of a break for the last month or so) on Victoria. The blog is mostly focused on the urban realm in the core from the pedestrian's perspective, though I do stray from that from time to time. If you have not had a look yet, please do. Just to be open, I do not get any ad revenue from any of the sites hyperlinked in the blog.

I would also love any feedback about my site and if you have a topic that you think I should cover let me know!

http://sidewalkingvi...ia.blogspot.ca/

I'm a year late but here goes.

I liked your blog especially the Quadra Village section. Please title the razzle-dazzle painted building you have posted
as VANCOUVER ISLAND SCHOOL of ART. Rob Fleming, MLA called it the "jewel of Quadra Village."
Thanks.
