What happens when you get sick or the weather is inclement? You'd be stuck inside an airless, viewless box. I think there's a reason that in thousands of years of human civilization nearly all dwellings have had views/openings to the outside.

Erm, how does that matter? If you’re sick you’re staying inside regardless of windows or not. Screen views of anywhere you want sounds better than a miserable view of rain and a brick wall from your neighbouring building.

Not at 1050 Yates. Nobody will be staring into brick walls ☝️

Everyone who walks or drives along the 1300 block of Cook Street will see a 15-storey wall.

What about VicPD leasing a portion of the building Maximus is leaving on Yates at Douglas?

If they need the office space sure! Ground floor there is already the very awesome Bulk Barn so not ideal for a community station if that is what you were thinking.

About 2/3s of the ground floor is Maximus offices/Maximus ground floor space. There's even a neat little three-storey portion on the east side that could serve as the downtown VicPD entrance/counter.

That alone would change the very fabric of downtown Victoria, and be more meaningful than any other investments.

There are but it is hard to read them because they are encrypted by blockchain.

Off topic, but methinks your sidewalking cred would get a boost if you guess something correctly in the photo trivia thread.

Can Victoria buy the Langford trolley and use it for a HOHO or have they already been sold by the new council? They were out into storage until this term.

As far as I know they are still in storage in Langford. Apparently another local muni wanted to buy them and the city decided not to sell...
