Work continues at Market Square...

Does anyone have an idea what sort of tenant would be able to attract the numbers of people needed to really revitalize this space? I am drawing a blank.

Cafe Mexico has been gutted and is being rebuilt, that's a good start!...
And at the current rate of reconstruction should be ready to welcome its first customers sometimes around the spring of 2020.

Thanks for the tip. I want to try it. The online reviews are very positive.

It needs a great restaurant or two with a lot of outdoor seating. High end and funky like Olo, Agria or Part & Parcel.
This past weekend during a visit to Victoria I inadvertently stumbled upon Market Square "sans roof" and was truly amazed. I hadn't been there for years, and had forgotten that I'd read on VV about the changes taking place. I was gobsmacked by the transformation when it dawned on me where I was standing. I agree that it needs a great restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating, a tiny urban playground and generally funky interesting retail. This space now has a real European air to it - flash forward a couple of years and I think this will be an incredible spot.

Eat your ayo eat?it just occurred to me that whenever I go to see what they've done since the last time I went to look, there are always people down in there. it's like people go there looking for something to do, but there isn't really anything. (yet)

Remember the original Fat Fuge's Phege's Fulge Fudge Factory? If you were lucky with your timing, you could watch the fudge roll out of the cooker on to the marble slab and Fuge Phege would fold the heck out of it with a couple of scrapers. Good times.
Edit: corrected autricious spelling.
