^ Ya, that's just Greyhound re-selling Wilson's. You have to add ferry fees.

^ There is no mention anywhere that ferry fees are extra. I would fully expect that if I pay my $35 then I would get from Victoria to Vancouver as advertised.

Good luck with that.

You are right. Saw a separate comment on the Greyhound site about buying a ticket at BC ferries. Still the Greyhound one way (with BC Ferry ticket) is still $11 cheaper than the same trip through Wilsons.

V2V Vacations purchased a used catamaran and is having it completely refitted for the new service.
That work is “at the home stretch” at Point Hope Maritime’s yard in Victoria, said Nick Cheong, V2V Vacations’ vice-president of operations.
“A lot of the core structural work has been done,” he said.
“We’re now moving to more esthetic [work], the stuff that you can actually touch and feel, things like the external decals on the boat, creature comforts like the interior, ceiling panels.”
Cheong has said the cost of the refit will be in the millions.
Australia’s Riverside Marine, parent company of V2V Vacations, had earlier estimated a $15-million cost to establish the service.

I have heard that the refit is behind schedule.

I don't know if they will get the critical mass they need to turn a profit, particular on a startup cost of 15 million!

So the steerage section costs about as much as a harbour air flight? Hmm... And why does it take 3.5 hours? Honestly I can't fathom who they hope to attract here. Not business travelers, not the average price conscious consumer.. Maybe tourists but again if they want to get here fast they have better options, and if they aren't in a rush they have the ferry which can also be quite luxurious (buffet + state room if you want). If they want a boat trip then most people would probably prefer whale watching.

^ Also, think Rocky Mountaineer...you pay big bucks for what you could be seeing more cheaply. That's been a successful model for years.

Is there a deck layout of the seating arrangement, because I wonder how much you will see if you are strapped into a seat in the middle of the boat once the captain activates the "fasten your seat belt" sign?

That's the Clipper, I suppose it's similar.
