Can you honestly look inside your microwave oven then tell us if it’s powered by gamma rays or enriched plutonium?

I think my microwave is gas powered why would I be paying for fortis if it wasn’t? Probably goes through the weird black wire with a prong I have plugged into the wall

three-prong gas pipe.  one is the oxidizing agent in.  one is the reducing agent (fuel) in.  and the bottom one is exhaust out.

I think we all assumed the oven would be gas. I didn’t realize ovens could be a mixed heat source like that, at least the full size ones aren’t that I’ve seen. Maybe it’s a heat thing (easier to maintain temps in a small oven with electric heat)?

Lots of dual-fuel ranges available.  Generally, people tend to prefer electric for the oven.

Interesting. And it makes sense to have the oven be electric.

Rented out my small unit and I am renting a big one now myself, the electric oven is the full-size version!

Yeah, as Sebberry said even full size ones can have electric ovens. That's news to me!

people like cooking on gas cooktops.  it's instant heat.   and quickly variable.  for fancy cooks.

for cooking my main meal, mac and cheese, i have no preference.

gas ovens have problems with hot spots and uneven cooking plus it keeps the air there too moist in lots of cases for browning etc. and some baking.   it's just better to have an electric oven.   electric with convection even better/faster.

A friend has a 6 burner Fulgor Milano range - gas burners, electric oven.  I think the thing was 6-8 grand or something mental.  42"?  Wider than a typical range anyway.

I kind of wish it was induction, much easier to clean the flat cooktop to me than the metal grates and about the same instant heat (I think sometimes it’s faster?). I asked developer when purchasing and he said it was not possible, I guess too costly for one purchase. I would think induction would be better for the environment than natural gas anyway (especially since we’re mostly Hydro here) and I know how the building was all about being “environmentally friendly”

To be fair, the phrase "now we're cooking with induction" kind of comes up lacking.

Has anyone received a hydro bill since the Hydro Suite Identification back in June?

Admittedly late to the party on this but trying to determine the increase in prices of units in the Wade. Have seen what is on MLS. Does anyone have an older price list or even amended lists. Wondering what original sale prices were in this building. Any help would be appreciated.

Thx

From pre-sale?
For me my JR 1 Bed 400sqft was $250,000, paid ~270 with GST, and one similar to mine but smaller and different (worse imo) view sold a few months back for $325,000 (both no parking)

Another one I know of was 500sqft no parking pre-sale $330,000 and sold recently for around $410,000

I remember some of the 2 beds I saw listed a few months back for $630,000 were in the maybe low to mid 500s I think during pre sale but I don’t really remember

I think I saw a Jr 2 bed for $620,000 listed that i don’t think was over 500 pre-sale

Thank you for this. It helps.

Does anyone know what the larger 2 bed or 3 bedrooms sold for?
