Maybe they should raise some cattle and pigs on the Mason St. farm, that way they can go get more meat as required.

Isn't the farm a meat-free zone? The horror!

I dropped in to try their pulled pork sandwich and I'll give it a 6/10.
What wasn't my thing was the added ingredients (I think there was a thick cut pickle, very creamy slaw and lots of fatty sauce like an aioli or something) all combined with the pulled pork and its sauce. The heaviness or greasiness of the final product I was not thrilled about. It tasted good (grease and fat always does!) but it made me feel like I ate a very heavy, unhealthy calorie rich meal.
It's a complete opposite from Pig's pulled pork that's very basic but satisfying.

I found the prices to be very reasonable for what it is, and most of all, it's quick, so perfect for a lunch break. I had the Pork Butt Sandwich ($8) and it was unreal. 10/10 would be back.

VHF does not do restaurant reviews very often, but I might go check this out and report back.

Pork Butt - juicy, tender, not heavily spiced and with a nice vinegar tang off the BBQ sauce.
Brisket - almost like butter. Strong slow-cooked beef flavor, finger food ready.
Ribs - good bark, very little pinking. Rub is flavorful, not too salty. Came off the bone without any effort.
Sausage - Interestingly spiced, a little chewy and just a tiny heat.
Pickles - a bit too big, not very dill or pickled. Made a nice palate cleanser.
I just went for the straight meats, no sandwiches or sides. Just wanted to see if they were legit BBQ, and I think they are.

Saw a sign for Jones while at The Ruby, tried the brisket the next day and was quite satisfied. I will be back to try more.

Ate here on the weekend. Brisket was melt in your mouth good. Crisp fresh slaw. i thought the pickles were nice. Great value. Welcome to North Park!
This can be difficult to find in this town; based on the feedback this place sounds like a winner to me. Looking forward to trying it.

Jones is taking over the former KFC space on Goldstream Avenue in Langford. The unit was most recently occupied by Mexican eatery Azteca.

It’s no secret, there’s an ongoing labour shortage in the country and that is putting stress on local business owners and staff who are trying to keep their businesses afloat.
Chris Jones is the owner of Jones Bar-B-Que in Langford, B.C. On Monday, he was back at work once again.
"I wasn’t supposed to be working today, I wasn’t supposed to be working yesterday," said Jones.
Already short on entry-level staff, two people called in sick and another quit by text message this week.
"We spend thousands on Indeed every month just trying to recruit people," said Jones.
It’s not just the restaurant owner picking up the slack.
"I ended-up doing a 6 a.m. to an 8 p.m. [shift]," said Tanja Lindquist, head chef at Jones Bar-B-Que.
"My Sous-Chef came in and did a close for me, so I wasn’t here until midnight," said Lindquist.
It’s taxing on everyone, and the hospitality industry isn't the only one facing a shortage in workers.
