As someone who grew up in Victoria and lived there for 35 years, and now comes back regularly but not too often, I gotta say I really love what’s become of all these crappy old parking lots and buildings. Downtown has changed a LOT since I moved.

I am sure it's just a coincidence. I bet downtown would still have improved even if you had stayed.

How do you think the YoY looks so far?
I was wondering if it might end up being just a taller version of Corazon but it seems to be trying to do its own thing (which is good).
But it's also odd, because I thought all new condo buildings were supposed to look exactly the same? Even Chard's small family of buildings haven't followed that rule (never mind all of the buildings by the various other developers).

I agree with you though: I quite like the variety I'm seeing out of many of the developments downtown.

The more this one rises the nicer it looks. I can't wait for the Vivid tower to catch up. I had mixed feelings based on the renderings and in person the height is very appropriate and so needed in this area.

I am not entirely sold on the choice of cladding materials for the upper portion of the YoY tower.
