Ya and the cows and chickens don't really care what the surface is when they cross the road.

Chickens don't cross the road, they can't seem to decide why they should.

Sounds like asphalt and concrete not so good for driveways. We need more gravel...and more Gravol

It’s been in the works for years, but when Victoria’s new storm water utility bills recently started arriving in mailboxes, many residents were caught unaware — forcing the city to deal with a flood of calls and emails.

“The idea is to incentivize people to create more permeable surfaces on their property to help the water go directly back into the earth and not into the storm drains,” Helps said.

Anyone have experience with this stuff? Called Core Gravel. It's a plastic grid that locks it in place.

In CoV you have to read the fine print.

A permeable system has to be a hard surface, not loose like gravel. The thinking is that loose gravel can end up on the sidewalk or road.

I predict more people with flooded basements during rainstorms.

There is also the increased risk of soil liquefaction in an earthquake.

The core gravel is locked in the mesh and can be resin bonded too.

I wouldn't ignore the HTF rating of whatever you chose.  I can't see how that tax won't go up in the next 5 years and that won't be cheap.
