Guy Fawkes Night, also known as Guy Fawkes DayBonfire Night and Firework Night, is an annual commemoration observed on 5 November, primarily in Great Britain. Its history begins with the events of 5 November 1605, when Guy Fawkes, a member of the Gunpowder Plot, was arrested while guarding explosives the plotters had placed beneath the House of Lords. Celebrating the fact thatKing James I had survived the attempt on his life, people lit bonfires around London, and months later the introduction of the Observance of 5th November Act enforced an annual public day of thanksgiving for the plot's failur             https://en.wikipedia...uy_Fawkes_Night

I'm watching Todd's Bonfire.  After last year's couch, I'm expecting more.

Well given the day, I had a Scotch...not that Scotch is English....but it's delicious.  It was very festive and didn't get sucked out of my glass from the fireworks black hole.

Sorry for missing the fiery 50” CRT television festivus which must have been wonderful as always.

Wait for next year.....I have some thoughts.

Happy Guy Fawkes Day!

Instead of gunpowder let's steal a van load of liquor from the Leg and use a logsplitter to destroy some trees. Or has that already been done?

Think I remember doing that a couple years ago but if we were to officially start celebrating Guy Fawkes Day we would finally have a use for the legislative log splitter.
