I seem to recall one year, back in the 80s, that a public market was tried, unsuccessfully, in the building now occupied by Value Village. The potential there would be fantastic, if it is done by the right people at the right time. Imagine people walking all the way along the Harbour Walkway, going into the Market, buying a few things and walking back or even farther along to the FN section at Rock Bay. Or take the Harbour Ferry back to James Bay, the Songhees or Ship Point. Maybe one day.
Don't be so sure.

I like the way they subtly put a couple of Range Rovers and a BMW in the rendering...you know, like this is going to be a high class development, lol. This will add a lot of life to that part of town.

I agree. I also hope it accelerates the redevelopment of the rest of those terrible parking lots in this area.
