My fav soon-to-be-ex 'Murrican who is moving back to BC later this year (he attended UVic the same time I did then went "home") is from San Antonio. Texas. Where he has happily been a Green Party supporter ever since he was exposed to that movement living here 40 years ago. In fact he worked for the Green Party of Texas for a few years - bravest man I've ever known

You'd have to be brave to work for the Green Party in Texas and probably even lonelier than the Maytag Repairman.

I have lived in B.C. since 1964 and always thought it was without a doubt the best province in Canada. I cannot believe what has happened to it in about the past eight years. More accurately, I cannot believe what politicians have allowed to happen to it.
Politicians used to have at least some credibility, but now I can’t stand to even listen to them. They disgust me. Their own money is undoubtedly tucked away safely, their fat pensions heavily protected, and they just want to get in their six years to sit back and collect.
This government is spending billions of our tax dollars to build more housing so they can bring more people, when they can’t take care of the people who pay taxes and voted them in. I watch David Eby and Katrine Conroy go on about the billions they’re spending, and they make me sick.
They have no idea what’s really going on. How about actually doing something about our health care? Do something!
Don’t bring more people here until you fix it. So sad that this province is falling apart.

He seems to be talking about people in general. Regarding immigrants, how involved is the federal government in telling them where they must live?
They aren't. Except Quebec. And also immigration support NGOs and services seem to congregate in more urban centres.

He is referring to the entire province.
Quebec sets their own immigration rates.
I don't think Quebec can or does control inter-provincial migration though, other than through reducing allure thanks to draconian language policies.

Poilievre, at a recent Vancouver Board of Trade appearance, said the development community is partly to blame for not engaging enough at the municipal political level, to ensure their concerns are heard, and their support candidates receive sufficient support. In short, he said developers can't expect anti-development councils to suddenly support development.
Know it all.
